Old fountain in the city of Tiel

My husband sent me two pictures of the fountain on Kalverbos in the city of Tiel. It was built around 1929 but fell into disrepair. Fortunately, the city Council decided to renovate this old fountain and after a thorough renovation, this fountain is active again with beautiful clear water.

Style of the Amsterdam School
The fountain was built in the style of the Amsterdamse School.  A style of architecture that arose from 1910 through about 1930 in the Netherlands. The Amsterdam School movement is part of international Expressionist architecture.

Summer beauty
Here you can see a picture with beautiful flowers along the edge of the fountain in summer.
