Donkey In The Meadow | Good fences #11

These lovely donkeys were grazing so quietly in the beautiful green meadow. Just asking myself: can a donkey become uncomfortably over - heate? I don't know. But the swishing action of the tail  is helping this donkey to keep annoying flies from biting.

This one (below) is Absolute Beautiful! What do you think? Is a donkey a ruminant? I have found the answer. No, because a ruminant needs to have a cloven hoof and be a cud chewer :-) Blogging about donkeys in the meadow I suddenly remember this classic childrens game: The tail of te donkey. So cute!

Ezeltje Prrrrik
Ezeltje prrrrik. Ken jij dat ook? Die oude spelletjes waren zo leuk!

This green pasture has a very nice fence of wooden poles and wire. I like it! But whether it is strong enough? I don't know. I have read that donkeys are clever, and they'll find a way to escape if you don't install a good fence around the pasture. It should be as high as the donkey's shoulders.

Hoog hek

Just to answer your question on my blog post. Yes, Walla Walla is a real name. It's a Native American Indian name which means, Land of Many Waters.

  21. I enjoy seeing fences of all kinds. I have never seen one like this. Very interesting. Good fences are so necessary, not only for animals, but in various areas of our lives. Fences are for our protection and so many people strain and struggle because they do not like God's fences.
