Red Oakleaf Lettuce

What do you eat today? This morning I bought a Red Oakleaf Lettuce. The leaves of this lettuce have the shape of the leaf of an American oak. Lettuce is generally eaten fresh in salads here. I love the deep red color.

  • I am mixing the lettuce with: white grapes, a shallot and with parsley and chives.

Rode sla
Nootachtig.

  9. That's a beautiful head of lettuce! Butterhead seems to be a popular variety here in Ireland. Hoping to grow some salad greens and small lettuces this summer! Enjoy your salads!!
