Would love to try it....That looks very interesting! Would love to try it. I live in Florida, which is in southern USA. New Year's Day tradition in the south is black-eyed peas and ham. (or hog jowl...but not for me!). We actually make something called "Hoppin John", which is the black eyed peas cooked with onions and green peppers, etc., and served over rice. That is good. I also like pork and sauerkraut...but that is a northern tradition not as well known in the south. We've lived in both regions, so we can go either way! Happy New Year! When I grew up in Michigan I never heard of eating pork and sauerkraut on New Year's day... But we moved to an area that did. So... several years ago we started having pork and sauerkraut on New Years day. We are having it tomorrow on January 1st.
