Ik zag een haas! Terwijl ik kamille aan het fotograferen was, ontdekte ik iets verderop een haas midden op het pad. Zo mooi. Toen ik een stapje in zijn richting zette, leek hij te denken: “Oh nee, paparazzi!” en weg was hij — hup, het weiland in.
Kijk, en toen heb ik hem toch nog “geschoten” — met mijn camera natuurlijk. Het is geen perfecte foto, maar je ziet duidelijk: daar zit iets met enorme oren.
Daarna ging ik weer verder met de kamille. Er zat een insect bij dat blijkbaar ook model wilde spelen. Het voelde een beetje als een klein feestje voor mij alleen. Zelfs nu ik het opschrijf voel ik hoe leuk deze wandeling op 22 mei was.
Ik kan de kamille bijna ruiken, hier achter mijn laptop.
Hij stond ver weg, maar ik haalde hem iets dichterbij met mijn lens.
Ik sluit af met een zoekplaatje: een ver-weg-foto, over de sloot heen het weiland in. Mama vogel met haar baby. Mama tureluur liet luid van zich horen en het kuikentje piepte zachtjes terug. Ik heb ruim tien minuten staan kijken voordat ik mijn camera pakte.

We see bunnies in our neighborhood all the time, often eating the garden plants and being kind of a nuisance — but they are still very appealing animals.

I love seeing the very large hare in the field, and the chamomile flowers and comfrey too...wow, what a treasure trove of beauty and also gifts to make you feel better! The bumblebees are such busy bees, aren't they? I've never heard of a Redshank bird. I guess we don't have them here. But we do have Bluebirds, and they are such fun to watch as they keep visiting the bird house, but still haven't settled down to build a nest this spring. I'm afraid they are missing their opportunity for this year as it is getting so hot and they won't want to sit in that hot little house on a nest for very long. Still, they are so beautiful and colorful and fun to watch. I can imagine the conversations between the male and his mate. They do jabber back and forth quite a bit. Oh, Aritha, aren't we blessed to be able to see what we see and enjoy what we enjoy? Not everyone has these opportunities, or if they do, they don't pay attention to them. Thank you for sharing the beauty around you with us. Delightful.
