At home in the countryside

☀️ Today we saw cute squirrels on the Eekhoeve. I made some pics. I'm totally happy to see them. The Europian squirrel is my favorite animal. Do you know the red squirrel also has the ability to swim? 


On the first photo my oldest daughter with her little son. He was staring at the squirrels (and colorful  birds). The small animals were so noisy and cute!



FARM YARD

We also went to the farm yard. I saw red, yellow and lila/purple peppers, beautiful dahlias. There was kale in abundance, also leek! My grandson played for a while on the trampoline. After that we drank coffee and bought an ice cream for the children (my son and grandson). I love to be here. Feeling at home in the countryside!





EEKHOEVE

 Vandaag was ik mij bij de Eekhoeve met twee van m'n kinderen en kleinzoon. Ik kon mooie foto's maken van de kleine eekhoorntjes. En wat geweldig dat er nog bloemen bloeiden in de boerderijtuin! Ik voel me thuis op het platteland. Misschien ook wel omdat ik opgegroeid ben in een agrarische omgeving.

    Not crazy about squirrels though they are cute. We have mostly the little red squirrels around my house.

    Your squirrels look very similar to ours here. I've never heard of a squirrel that could swim, how funny. The Pink Dahlia is beautiful. The countryside is a favorite place for me to spend time. I'm so glad you got to enjoy the day with your son and grandson.
