LAVENDER SEASON IN GARDEN

Echt zomer. Kijk, onze lavendel begint te bloeien. Zo mooi om te zien!

Summer in our garden: Our lavender (lavandula angustifolia) is just starting to bloom!

Hieronder lavendel van vorig jaar in een klein glazen flesje. Als ik de dop eraf haal, ruikt het nog steeds heel lekker.

Below is lavender from 2018 in a small glass pendant. It still smells good.

Next time a different type of lavender. Not every lavender plant is the same.
  • Do you love lavender?
  • Hou je van lavendel?

  4. I wonder if there's anyone who wouldn't love the scent of lavender!! :)
Wonderful photos, Aritha! It will take weeks before my lavenders start to bloom. They don't look very happy even though there was much snow to protect them in winter.

    1. Ja inderdaad. Vrij sterk. Het schijnt ook kalmerend te werken.

  6. I would love lavender but they don't survive over the winter in my garden. Have tried many times.

    1. It is important to prune lavender twice a year. But maybe you live too far in the north ;-)

  7. I adore the fragrance of lavender. It can be grown indoors too, but I'm rather lazy; so I buy seeds at the market and fill tiny adequate bags with it, to be placed in cupboards and other places in the house.

  15. A couple years ago, I planted some lavender seeds in a container and was happy when they sprouted. Then a stray cat came along and used that container as a litter box :-( I should try again here :-) Enjoy your lovely lavender!

  16. Hello again and thank you very much for your comment on my post, Aritha!
Sorry for the late reply. Did you mean the second photo after the map? The plant should be a Calycanthus floridus, originally from Northern America.

  21. I have loved lavender since I was a child. During the war I stayed at my grand-parents in Provence near lavender fields. I wish I could grow it here but have not been successful.

  24. I’m from USA am here to give my testimony about Dr Robinson who helped me cure my HERPES (HSV), i want to inform the public how i was cured from (HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS), i visited different hospital but they gave me list of drugs like Famvir, Zovirax, and Valtrex which is very expensive to treat the symptoms and never cured me. Three months ago a friend suggested that I try herbal medicine; from a very powerful herbal doctor called (Dr.Robinson) I looked up his blog on the internet site and indeed he have had immense success with his product. There were lot of persons posting their testimony about how he cured them. when i contacted him he gave me hope and send a Herbal medicine to me that i took and it seriously worked for me, my HERPES result just came out negative. (Robinson.buckler (@ yahoo). com 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 I must admit ( ( Robinson.buckler) ) is really a genuine man when it comes to getting an ex lover back
