BUMBLEBEES AND POPPIES

I wrote in my previous blog post:
I have seen so many bumblebees in the farm garden. Most of them were busy in the flowers of the Oriental Poppies. I will write about it next time.
Here I am.
I hope you love these oriental poppies and the bumblebee video 😊

It was difficult to take pictures of these flowers because the wind was so strong and the sun reflected in the "shiny" petals. But I tried to take nice pictures of the flowers and the bumblebees. Poppies are a fantastic source of pollen. Bumblebees absolutely love poppies!

GROTE BLOEMEN

SCHEPIJS

Warm weather in the Netherlands is the perfect time to try a tasty Dutch ice-cream. I chose three flavors: banana, vanilla, and yogurt with cherry.

Mjammie: ijsje!

Are there any people who don't like ice cream?

  1. It is poppy season! 😊

The ice cream looks fabulous! What is yogurt flavored? Does that mean frozen yogurt?

  3. If there are people who don't like ice cream they must be very well hidden because I don't think I have ever met one!

  8. Who wouldn't like ice-cream? I love it. You did a fantastic job of capturing the beauty of these flowers. That color is not easy to get right in a picture. At least that has been my experience.

  15. Thanks for coming by - I think in the past our paths (in blogland) have crossed our way, because I think I know your name (was on blogspot, before I moved to wordpress). I love these red poppies, they have a long stem and are bigger - the orange flower is smaller and does not have that seersucker effect, and is lower to the ground. Yum ice cream, although gelato is delicious too:)
The way you write your blog posts is perfect for All Seasons - the photo link is open from Sunday to Friday noon (you are 9 hours ahead of us). The title of these posts, always begin with All Seasons ...
On the bottom of the post, where it says "click here to enter your link" Press that, and fill in your blog url etc.,
then click on "for web" and all your photos of your post appear. let me know if you have problems linking!
It is the experience of the Season - Welcome:) Hope to see you there soon!

  16. I didn't know the bumble bees love the Poppies. The red Poppies are so pretty. California's state flower is the orange Poppy. It looks a bit different than this though. Very delicate thin petals and a pretty orange color. Your ice cream looks Yummy. I'll have to get some soon. : )
