(Geplant: Ca 1855)

Garden
In my view, this tree grows in the garden of the town hall in Tiel. My husband (he works there) sent me this pictures today with his telephone. He knows that I love trees.
Volgens mij staat deze boom in de tuin van het gemeentehuis in Tiel. Mijn man (hij werkt daar) stuurde de foto's via zijn telefoon. Hij weet dat ik van oude bomen houd.

Special treeTrees have their seasons at certain times of the year when they bring forth fruit; but a Christian is for all seasons.
Is there in your neighborhood a special tree?
Wonderful! I love the old oaks in our park.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGreat! Oaks are impressive. In the past it were the sacred trees for us Teutons :-)
VerwijderenThat's a very old tree, indeed. And quite beautiful.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHere in New York State Platanus × acerifolia, the London plane tree is very popular.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Tom, I saw it on Wikipedia. Great!
VerwijderenOld trees have many stories to tell...I love seeking the wisdom in them

VerwijderenQuite a venerable tree!

Groet kees.
Hoi Hoi, Een oude koest moet natuurlijk oude knoest zijn, SORRY!

VerwijderenHi Jedidja, I really like this post! You know, I saw a big, big tree on my walk yesterday, but it is so hard to get a really good picture of a big tree. Your husband's photo is excellent! Thank you for sharing your blog and for your kind comments on mine. Hope you have a fine week ahead!

BeantwoordenVerwijderenJa Christine. That's so true ( in alle seasons ...)
VerwijderenI love old trees as well. That one is amazing. The bottom of it reminds me of an elephant foot.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHaha, Happyone ... I have looked at the photo again and again. And yes you're right. How funny!
VerwijderenHere en EspaĂąa these very old trees, They are called "singular tree" because they stand out from the others by its size, shape or age.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is a big tree.!!
I'm better off here, I take the link. You upgrade more often ;)
Besos.
You're welcome here Laura. For you it's better off here.
VerwijderenIt is a beautiful old tree! We have many old oak trees where I live and our city has laws about cutting them down. You must be approved and get a permit.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI love old Oaks!
VerwijderenHow lovely, a magnificent old tree. We used to have a large tree in our neighborhood that a Confederate general supposedly rested under, but it was cut down years ago due to it being so close to the owner's house. I was very sorry to see it go but obviously safety comes first. Long may that old tree in your photos remain healthy and strong :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSometimes arise disputes between neighbors because one wants to keep trees and the other wants them cut down :( Some old trees are protected here by the government. Yes, sometimes we feel sad about it ... but safety is very important.
VerwijderenA magnificent tree, strong and tall.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI love old trees and that one looks pretty sturdy and strong. The bottom does look like an elephant's foot :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Bill! Every spring I the trees are surprising me. O, ja, eh very large LARGE elephant's foot :)
VerwijderenI love trees! I love trees in the summer with all their leaves and I love trees in the winter when they are bare and the shape of the tree is especially noticeable. Love them in all seasons. The shape of the leaves are also so interesting.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAvis, I ike your comment. I mostly love trees in the autumn.
VerwijderenI have always loved trees. I did a science project on trees when I was in school. Love the shapes of trees and the shape of their leaves. The bare tree in the winter is as lovely as the summer tree with it's foliage! To me, that is!
