SUNFLOWERS IN DECEMBER

My sunflowers in December. Amazing 🌻🍂

If I were a flower... I would be a sunflower. To always follow the sun, Turn my back to darkness, Stand proud, tall and straight even with my head full of seeds.

We have a temperate maritime climate influenced by the North Sea in The Netherlands. Normally we have cold and clear weather in the winter (with temperatures sometimes far below zero). But our climate is changing.

So, today a "Zonnebloem Groet" voor jou 🌻🌻🌻

  5. They still look pretty with all the colour against a blue sky.

Re your question about if we have a Christmas Tree, we stopped having one after our daughter moved. Shari makes ornaments so we decorate the house with those. We like it and it doesn't take a long time to do it. We have lots of candles and music to give us the festive feeling, :)

  6. A welcome splash of colour on a winter's day. The birds will soon be glad of those seeds.

    Groetjes Irma

  18. Sunflowers are the prettiest flowers, even when they are drooping from the heat or shriveled up from the cold. Such a lovely, cheerful flower. Oh my, temperatures below zero.....brrrrr, that's cold. : )
