THE BEST CHAIR IN THE WORLD

Back in time. The Netherlands Open Air Museum (Nederlands Openluchtmuseum) takes you back into the past of every day life of ordinairy Dutch people. It features eighty historic houses, farms and windmills.

And we saw the best chairs in the world 😉 





Deze stoelen ontdekte ik in het Nederlands Openluchtmuseum in Arnhem gisteren. Ik vind ze zo mooi en zocht er naar op het internet. Maar vond niets. Weet iemand van jullie iets over de motieven op deze stoelen?

    I am always happy to visit these museums and reconstructed villages that give us a window into our past. It is one thing to read about it, but quite another to witness the artifacts and get a glimpse into a way of life that in many ways is part of the foundation of who we are today. As for the chair - I want one!!

    I've visited a similar kind of open air museum in Bucharest. Fascinating!
    The pictures on that chair which depict snippets of everyday life are priceless!

    I'm sorry I know nothing about the motifs on the chairs but such a typical Dutch scene. I absolutely love them! That love and craftsmanship is seldom seen in modern furniture.
