GREYLAG GOOSE IN WINTER

Walking through the frozen grass. Do you see the dike in the mids in photo #1. Behind it is a path along barbed wire, #2. I saw a small lake with geese. They make a lot of noise. I could not get close because the ground was swampy. That's why I took a photo from afar #3. I also saw group of geese flying against  the clear blue sky  #4

Ik wilde wel dicht bij de ganzen komen om te fotograferen maar ik durfde niet zo goed. Het was erg drassig. Ik had wel snowboots aan maar toch ... Dus liep ik een eind maar stopte toch op een gegeven moment. En maakte een paar foto's van de ganzen vanuit de verte. Wat een geluid maakten ze!

Boven me in de lucht zag ik er eerder ook al een paar. Echt geluk dat ik ze op de foto staan want ik mikte in de wilde weg.

    Hello, lovely captures of the Greylag Geese. We can see them here sometimes, but not often. The last shot with the geese in flight and the pretty blue sky is beautiful.     I am sure that those geese brightened up your day, Aritha. Any contact with wild geese is guaranteed to please. And as Phil says above the first photograph is very appealing indeed. Sometimes, whether intentional or not, a picture really captures the moment and conveys the sense of a place.
