BIKING EVERY DAY
I force myself to bike every day, because it is so good to be outside. It helps prevent the winter blues. And when I am back home I am very happy with my candles. I light many candles, to create a warm feeling during the winter in our living room.
Ik ga er bijna iedere dag even op uit met de fiets. Nee, niet als het hard regent. En dan rijd ik een uurtje om ons dorp heen. Dit doe ik omdat fitness niet meer zo lukt met mijn frozen shoulder. Bewegen is belangrijk. Het helpt me om een winterdip te voorkomen.

What's the weather like in your country? Which season do you like?
I know what you mean. Grey skies, winds, rain are not my cup of tea either. Here in Israel, the weather is still nice and warm. Only in the mornings and evenings it's quite cool; after all we're approaching winter.

Your sky looks like ours. My wife loves wintertime and the darkness but also likes to light up the candles to make a peaceful atmosphere. Brighter days will eventually return to you.

That's great that you ride your bike every day. Although the skies are gloomy in these pictures, they still are pretty. Keep lighting those candles in your home. It is always good to get outside, Aritha, and since we can’t change the weather we have to get used to it and make the most of it. It has been grey and gloomy here too, but at this time of the year we have friends over and all enjoy being together inside....a little wine, good food, good companionship. Wonderful!

I lived in Germany just over 30 years ago where eh winters were long and gray and wet and with snow and hated it! My favourite seasons are Spring and Summer.
I have family over there (around Sidney) and I always can see green, flowers often blue skies in their pics on facebook Thank makes my glad. I understand you.

O die bovenste foto, schitterend! Die zegt zoveel en ik vind er zoveel herkenning in. Gewoon al hoe dat stuur van die fiets is gedraaid, een echt stilleven. Mag ik die foto wel gebruiken voor een gedicht? Ik fiets zelf ook heel veel en voel me zo verwant met deze foto.
