Schapenwol of hondenhaar?

  1. I think it is a nest made by insects, a moth or caterpillar maybe, like the ones who make silk.

    1. I don't know Sandi. I know sheep wool is also an attractive material for birds as it provides insulation and helps to keep the eggs and chicks warm. But it was laying in the sand.

  2. I have no idea what it is, but the red leaves or flowers in the first picture are beautiful!

    1. Thank you DUTA. Leaves! Those leaves belong to a beech tree. It is common for beech leaves to persist on the tree for extended periods of time, sometimes well into the winter months. This can add an extra touch of warmth and texture to the otherwise barren winter landscape 🍂

  3. The wind or a bird tranported the wool.

  5. Beste Aritha,

  8. Without being able to feel the texture it's a bit of a mystery. It looks like sheep's wool but sheep are not known to shed in this manner as far as I know. Perhaps a sheep got caught up in a thorny bush, lost a clump of wool, and it was borne away on the wind.

  9. It does look like sheep's wool. Possibly dropped by a bird?

  10. Do you have trees that looks like cotton on them, and then they float in the air sometimes? Yep, I'm clueless so no help. Is that seeds or just dirty specks. hmmmm?

  11. Looks like kapok to me.
I stumbled upon something quite similar before - https://ofmiceandramen.blogspot.com/2021/10/kapok.html

  12. It could be low flying sheep. They make their nests in bushes and on trees low down. A bit like the haggis in Scotland. I've seen them often.

Thank you for visiting my Blog and sharing a smile. Please call again. Also thank you for posting my Blog on your right-hand margin.

  13. Dear Aritha,
First of all, I want to thank you so much for the comment you left on my blog. Honestly, your comment was one of the most kind and thoughtful I’ve received in my 12 years blogging. Wonderful to hear how ChatGPT is helping your son. I had not even thought about how helpful AI could be to one with dyslexia and it is great to hear about that. We’ve been connected in the blogosphere now for several years and I just want to say that has been a blessing to me. Thank you again! God bless you and your son! John PS I almost forgot to answer your question. 😊 I have to agree completely with David M. Gascoigne’s comment.
