🐶 LOST IN THE WOODS

Last week my husband and I went to the Ginkel Heath. (in 1944 the Allied airborne landings took place here during Operation Market Garden. We came to see the sunset above the fields.

AVONDROOD BOVEN GINKELSE HEI

Right in front of us
To the right of us, we saw the moon
When we walked back to the car we saw a dog walking. He was limping a bit. My first thought was: he's left behind. We decided to call de dierenambulance. And yes, a dog was missing. Not left behind but the dog walked away in the early morning.

PRACHTIGE HOND

WAITING

We wait, in the forest for the owner of this beautiful Malinois dog. He did not bark. In a bicycle tunnel it looked like he was leading us through enemy territory. And later I experienced that he listened very carefully to my commands. I gave him a Belgian waffle, the only food I had my bag.

In the pic below he is begging: Please, give me more Belgian waffles...

Please....

Denzel was very, very happy when he saw his owner. It was a police dog; ever been on a mission in  Jordan, take a look HERE We were happy to give him back 😊

PANORAMA HOEVE

My hubby and I drank coffee and chocolate milk in a nice restaurant. Old Dutch with lots of antiques and curiosities. Gezellig (cozy)...

Later this week we got a beautiful bouquet:
Thanks for bringing back our dog.

  6. I am very happy to learn that the dog was reunited with his human companion. I hope that he has not acquired an unreasonable taste for Belgian waffles! And the sky that you went to see looks splendid indeed.

  9. Congratulations on your photographs. 💛 Ai believe a dog is quite stupid. It lacks the incentive of the wolf, aI believe, and can only be sufficient in gangs, or by an owner. Imagine making dogs of human beings ... That is so evil, that there is no escape. And it annoys me so much, aI will make Hell intolerable.
