Well now, those sheep will slow down the most intrepid cyclist! We grew up in a small town in Washington State on the border of the State of Idaho. Twice every year a certain wealthy sheep rancher would herd his sheep from summer to winter pastures (and vice versa)... this involved crossing a bridge (across the Snake River) and would shut interstate traffic down for as long as it took the huge herds to get across. .... I cannot imagine that happening now (even in that backwater part of the country).
Hi Aritha- Great photos of the Sheep and Sheep Dogs there in the Netherlands - I like sheep a lot and worked on a Sheep Farm at Tamworth NSW - dipping and drenching the Flock - which was in the Thousands. I was 15 at the time and drove a 'David Brown' Tractor for the first time as well. Great fun with my Dad and Uncle Cid. Best Wishes. KEV.
Beautiful road block! I'd rather see that than cars in the road any day. Lovely pictures. Thank you for sharing with us. That would be a rare sight here.
I see the dogs are taking a short break from keeping the flock in good order.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe dogs must need a rest after all that work with the sheep. Great photos.

Hoi Aritha.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWat leuk dat je deze Schapen tegen kwam.
Best knap van de honden om een kudde in bedwang te houden.
Groettie van Patricia.
This seems like a delightful encounter to me.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenNice photos of the sheep and the dogs. I had a border collie like the ones in the photo when I was a young. Have a blessed and wonderful day. Madeline
