Ik zit in zo’n periode.
Niet dramatisch.
Gewoon… een beetje heel erg down
(zeg ik verzachtend).
Dus dacht ik: ik ga iets luchtigs posten.
Een blogje. Over orchideeën.
Want ja... wie wordt er níét een beetje blij van een orchidee voor het raam, midden in de winter?
Zo fotografeer je een winter-orchidee
Tip 1: zorg voor licht.
Tip 2: zorg dat je een stukje hemel ziet.
Tip 3: wees bereid je waardigheid tijdelijk op te offeren 😊
Want dit is wat er gebeurde:
ik wilde mijn orchidee fotograferen met de blauwe lucht erbij. Niet van voren. Niet rechtop. Maar zó dat dat stukje blauw lucht echt mee kon doen. Dus ik ging op de bank liggen. Achterover. Armen omhoog. Camera richting vensterbank.Mijn man kwam net thuis van een boodschappenrondje.
En maakte een foto... door het zijraam heen.
Van mij.
Liggend. Op de bank.
In een soort yoga-voor-beginners-houding.
Alles voor het juiste perspectief.

En weet je?
Soms moet je op zulke dagen letterlijk van perspectief veranderen.Dus: zo fotografeer je een orchidee.
Of kom van die bank af en koop er eentje
Pamela: “Dit is een amaryllis.”
Ik: “Nee joh, zo’n fout zou ik nóóit maken.”
Ik, vijf minuten later: …ja dus.
Ik: wat nu?
Groene vingers: gewoon laten staan.
Ik: maar dan kopen ze straks een orchidee in plaats van een amaryllis.
Groene vingers: ach joh, bloem is bloem.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenSuch a lovely flower. Here where I live we call that an Amaryllis, but perhaps it is related to the orchid. It's beautiful whatever it is. I have some planted outside that originally came in pots that grew from a bulb and opened up in the wintertime in the house. I didn't buy one this year and I am missing it, and the ones outside probably won't bloom for another month or so. I love your photography pose! You are a "true professional photographer", from the socks up! Love it!!! What fun you had with this. And the blue sky behind the flower is perfect!!!! Thank you for sharing the complete story of how you accomplished this feat!!

Thank you for the fun addendum to your post! I think it's perfect! and I really love that your hubby took that picture apparently when you weren't looking, so it is perfectly natural, the real you! That's what makes this post so extra charming!! I would love to go on a hike with you someday, the two of us discovering all kinds of interesting things to photograph! We'd be racing from thing to thing and pointing out different sights to each other! Wouldn't that be fun? I may have to get some socks like yours first! Aritha this certainly made me smile. Of course Orchids need to be captured perfectly even if it means we do lose a bit of our dignity. Hope you are staying warm and that Orchid is still blooming through the middle of January. Hugs! P.S. I have never had success with keeping them alive. I think it might be that I am a rather neglectful indoor gardener and forget they might need a bit of water. LOL - Hugs!
