  1. Some beautiful sunrise photos...love the canals, too. I would enjoy biking there. We often ride 5-8 miles in our neighborhood, but only if it's warm -- over 60 degrees F.

  14. What a great series of beautiful photos. I love seeing your area, it's so pretty. The coldest I ever experienced was -50 in Jan 2004 when we lived in Alaska. Later that same day it warmed up to -20 and it felt like spring.

  29. I just took a walk around a frozen lake. But the temps are pretty mild in Minnesota today.

  30. Love those sunrise shots and the sense of peace and quite so early. I walk out almost every morning at about 25-30 minutes before sunrise. We cannot see the horizon to the east because of houses and trees, and there are very often clouds over the ocean even on otherwise very clear days. It is often pleasantly cool in the winter, but during summer the heat and humidity may persist overnight.
