I see pears and tomatoes!

The "fruitcorso" in Tiel is a yearly event. Apples, pears, nuts, seeds, peppers and grapes; they all are part of the parade, that on the third weekend of September drive through the streets of Tiel. Designed and built by people from the Betuwe (and the land of Maas and Waal). My husband made some pics with his Phone during his lunch break.

Tiel is the largest town in the Betuwe area, which is famous for being one of the centres of Dutch fruit production. Orchards in the area produce apples, pears, plums and cherries. Tiel once housed the famous jam factory De Betuwe.
