Eendjes met een kuifEen foto van wat ik zag tijdens mijn laatste fietstocht: kuifeenden. Ze zijn zo schuw. ik kreeg ze bijna niet op de foto want als ik maar een klein beetje bewoog draaiden ze zich om de andere kant op of ze vlogen weg.

O nee, ik sluit uit met dit schaap dat zo lekker in de weide ligt te luieren.
Ooievaar in de wei
Toen ik bijna de bebouwde kom inreed zag ik twee ooievaars in het weiland en ik vind hen leuk om te delen voor Eileens Zaterdags beestjes. In de jaren '70 dreigde de ooievaar bijna uit Nederland te verdwijnen door het gebruik van DDT (pesticede).
Ooievaar gered
Gelukkig heeft Vogelbescherming, met hulp van vele vrijwilligers, de ooievaar gered. Dankzij dit reddingsprogramma is de ooievaar niet langer met uitsterven bedreigd in Nederland. Het staat zelfs niet meer op de Rode Lijst van bedreigde diersoorten.
