GOOD FENCES #16

Today my husband and I drove to the retirement home where my parents live. My mother was told a week ago that she has cancer, metastasized to almost all organs (no pain). She came home from the hospital and the nursing staff gives loving care to her. We, as children are coming every day now, so she and my father will not be alone.

Vandaag ben ik met J. naar mijn ouders geweest. We kregen vorige week donderdag te horen dat mijn moeder kanker heeft en niet meer beter wordt. Ze kwam maandag thuis uit het ziekenhuis en wordt nu liefdevol verzorgd door het verplegend personeel daar. Wij als kinderen zijn er iedere dag om beurten, zodat zij en mijn vader niet alleen zijn.

On the way home we drove through the countryside. It's GOOD FENCES day and I have made two photos while we were riding. An iron fence in a pasture. And a hedge as fences. Ugly photos. But real Dutch landscape, real Dutch kids on the bike. and real Dutch fences.

Op weg naar huis reden we binnendoor. Op donderdag is het GOOD FENCES dag voor mij. En als je daaraan denkt, zie je opeens overal Good Fences. Ik nam snel wat foto's vanuit de auto. Een ijzeren hek, een heg. langs de weg. Lelijke foto's met mijn mobiel maar ja, we reden ook hè?! En wat een fietsers kwamen we tegen.

Time to craft

Now I am ill again  ... and after a long night I take the time to craft. I sit down my old leather chair.  I'm drinking tea and I am making little paper houses. So grateful for simple pain medication and clear water for tea.

Crafting each day keeps the crazy away, I read on Pinterest. It's a pins that make me laugh. Crafting? Me? Only when I am ill!

Tea bag wit tag
I took pictures of my tea an my tea bag. On the small label I read this in Dutch: Hoe was je dag? That means: How was your day? Funny, right? Seriously, I love this tea labels with short texts.
