Baroque music in a Dutch church

Do you love baroque music? It is one of the styles I now and than enjoy. My husband loves it very much! On Saturday afternoon he went to a concert in one of our churches: De Westerkerk. HERE you can read the Dutch program.

Playing the theorbo
Do you see the man on the right in the picture? He plays the theorbo. It is a plucked string instrument of the lute family. I LOVE the sound. It seems a bit like guitar music.

Short video
I also have a short video (taken with the phone) for you. When I am chaotic in my mind, this music soothes me a bit ;-)

  1. I'm glad that you received some benefit from this concert and that you enjoy this kind of music. That instrument is one I'm not familiar with. Looks good, though.
