HEARTWARMING BABY PHOTOS

O, mijn computer staat vol foto's maar soms kom ik er niet aan toe om een leuke blog te schrijven omdat er andere prioriteiten zijn, zoals oppassen, een ziekenhuisbezoekje, een douche schrobben, studeren, een lezing bijwonen, een boswandeling, kletsen met mijn man en nog veel meer.

Vandaag laat ik drie foto's zien, die ik van mijn kleindochter maakte.

There were many other priorities this week: babysitting, a hospital visit, scrubbing a bathroom, studying, attending a lecture, a forest walk, chatting with my husband and much more.

Today, my husband and I have been married for 29 years.

Vandaag zijn mijn man en ik 29 jaar getrouwd. Wat een tijd. Wat hebben we veel meegemaakt samen. Ik had als verrassing een lunch geregeld bij Kees & Sien. Het was echt heel leuk om zo samen te vieren. Dankbaar en blij.

POSTCROSSING LOVE

Today a different kind of post. In the winter months send cards to others via Postcrossing and this week I received a handful of cards from all over the world. I was surprised and decided to write a post about it.

Vandaag een andersoortige post. geen natuur maar wel dingen die het leven mooi maken. in de winter doe ik altijd aan Postcrossing en deze week ontving ik een handvol kaarten uit allerlei windstreken. Vaak schrijven mensen wat achterop de kaart, plakken er stickers op en kiezen voor mooie postzegels.

Dit is mijn handjevol kaarten van deze week Ze komen uit Zwitserland, Duitsland, Finland, 3 keer USA, Oekraïne en Rusland. Ik geniet ervan en schrijf iedereen een bedankje via de site.

This is my handful of cards this week. They come from Switzerland, Germany, Finland, 3 times the USA, Ukraine and Russia. I enjoy it. It is so much fun. Do you know Postcrossing? 

⬆ Mooie postzegels. De kandelaar vond ik erg mooi. Ook de sticker is zo leuk!

Persistent Heat in the Netherlands

Today, Tuesday and Thursday it will be the tropical warm in the Netherlands. We are advised to drink plenty of water, wear thin clothes, avoid exercise during the hot afternoon hours and stay in the shade as much as possible. This morning I received an email from my son's school:

"Dear parents, we plan to hold a water festival with groups 5 - 8, starting at 14.30. We use the fire hose. The children always enjoy it very much. They get a quarter to dry up before they go home."

 I hope they will have lots of fun.

Tropisch
Tropisch warm hier. Op de basisschool gaan ze een watergevecht houden. Nog geen tropenrooster maar een watergevecht is ook erg leuk! Mijn zoon reed na het eten gauw nog even langs de speelgoedwinkel voor een waterpistool. Ze gebruiken ook de brandslang. Mijn dochter zat even buiten te leren maar ... vond het toch te warm, ondanks de meloen.

Hydrangea
Below you can see one of the first hydrangeas in our garden! Every evening we are watering them to prevent the plants from dying. I also found a flower in our garden, of which I don't know the name. Is it weed? Or not? Ik took a photo. So... I hope you know the name of it.

Hortensia
De hortensia begint zo mooie te worden in onze tuin! We sproeien nu iedere avond, ook om te voorkomen dat de buxus doodgaat. Ik ontdekte ook een plantje in onze tuin dat er heel leuk uitziet. Maar misschien is het onkruid. Ik maakte er een foto van, na het sproeien. Ken jij het?

Fijne dag!

O, Sunny Day!

O, what a sunny day! But ... just today passed the sister of my mum surrounded by her husband and children. Australia is so far away from the Netherlands. Still praying for my uncle, cousins and nieces for strenght, hope and courage.

Ver weg
O, wat een zonnige dag. En wat een tegenstelling. Vanmorgen (Hollandse tijd) overleed mijn tante terwijl ze omringd werd door haar man en kinderen. Dan is Australië echt ver weg van Nederland. Ik bid voor sterkte, hoop en moed voor mijn familie ver weg.

 

Deze foto's maakt ik na het avond eten. Ik keek omhoog en zag dit vliegtuig. Zou niet weten uit welk land het komt en waar het naar toe gaat. De foto hieronder is onze eik. Ik nam hem vanuit mijn tuinstoel. We aten lekker buiten (hartige taart). Ook nog een foto van mezelf in de avondzon. Gave selfie :)

Eating in Backyard

These photos I made after dinner. I looked up and saw this plane. The picture below is our oak. Yes, above my head too. I also took a picture of my shadow in the evening sun ;) O, how I enjoyed the sun en the blue sky. We ate savory pie in our backyard; listening later to the wind blowing through the branches of our old oak.

I had to buy myself some flowers

It's cold. It's gloomy.  I wear warm winter socks. Wool is best! I had to buy myself some flowers to brighten up my day. I think everybody has days like this. What is your way to brighten up a rainy day?

Opvrolijken?
Koud en sombertjes. Ik draag warme wintersokken. Het miezert buiten. Ik doe mijn best om vrolijk te blijven. Daarom kocht ik lavendel in de winkel. Hoe vrolijk jij jezelf op als je merkt dat je een beetje gaat dippen?

Miss my mom
Wisseling in stemming komt ook wel HIER door.
Soms voel ik me opeens zo verdrietig!

I bought a wooden memory game in the thrift store. Wooden games are so pretty! I have always loved it! You too?

Ik houd van houten speelgoed. Jij ook? Regelmatig ga ik even kijken bij de kringloop of er iets is voor mijn kleinzoontje.
